2024-2025 NMA President David Ingvoldstad, MD

Dear Colleagues,

As your new NMA President, I’m honored to lead our association at a time when the voice of Nebraska’s physicians is more crucial than ever. In our recent survey, you shared your compliments, concerns, and priorities, and I want you to know—we heard you.

Your Membership. Our Mission.

Our 2024 legislative efforts brought significant wins: sustaining the Excess Liability Fund and defeating legislation to raise the cap, securing Medicaid coverage for translation services, protecting newborn screenings, and stopping unnecessary scope expansions.

We will build on this momentum with bold steps.

Your feedback has shaped our 2025 legislative agenda. From advocating for preserving our scope of practice to addressing administrative burdens, your priorities are ours. Together, we will fight for prior authorization reform and increased Medicaid reimbursement rates, while enhancing our presence across Nebraska.

Join the Movement. Shape the Future.

Whether you’re a current NMA member or a non-member, your support is vital to continuing this essential work. Membership is not just a renewal or a new commitment; it’s about joining forces to advance our shared goals and ensuring that physicians remain at the forefront of healthcare decisions in our state.

There is strength in numbers, and together, we can drive change.

If you’re already a member, thank you for your ongoing commitment and membership renewal for 2025. If you’re not yet a member, I invite you to join us in shaping the future of medicine in Nebraska. Now is the time to unite, strengthen our voice, and lead the charge for the future of our profession.

Thank you for your dedication to medicine and for being an integral part of the Nebraska medical community.

Sincerely,
