As a founding member and ongoing supporter of the LifeBridge Nebraska program, the Nebraska Medical Association and the Nebraska Medical Foundation prioritize the health and wellness of physicians. The mission of LifeBridge Nebraska is to enhance the well-being of Nebraska’s physicians by proactively addressing unique challenges and fostering a culture of self-care. The program’s dedicated team of peer physician coaches can help to:
- Build Social Support: studies have shown that most physicians would prefer to receive support from colleagues. Peer coaching provides the added benefit of working with another local Nebraska physician.
- Provide a Sounding Board: Physicians undergo many transitions throughout their careers that require dedicated reflection. Coaching allows for reflective listening, feedback, and insight.
- Contribute to Personal Growth: whether you are looking to find more meaning in your work by aligning your values or are looking to improve efficiency and build leadership skills, LifeBridge can help.
- Strengthen Relationships: understanding your personality and communication style is the first step in identifying the breakdown of relationships. This can help you effectively work with different types of people.
- Address Workload: as leaders of the healthcare team, it is often hard for physicians to say “no.” Learn how to prioritize, delegate, avoid overscheduling, and set expectations.
- Engage in Self-care: Physicians know to eat right, exercise, get enough sleep, and engage in self-care, but these often get put on the back burner with a demanding career and trying to balance one’s personal life.

PRESCRIPTION DRUG MONITORING PROGRAM
LB 471 requires that all controlled substances dispensed in Nebraska be reported to the PDMP. As of January 1, 2018, Nebraska’s PDMP contains all dispensed prescription drugs (controlled and non-controlled prescription drugs). This provides prescribers with an opportunity to view all dispensed medications for a patient and serve as a comprehensive medication reconciliation tool. With the primary purpose of the PDMP being patient safety, we hope you will participate!
Registering for the PDMP takes only three simple steps:
- Complete the PDMP training requirement (approx 24 minutes) at Nebraska PDMP On-Demand Training Video. Completion of the acknowledgement at the end of the training is required to “successfully complete” the training requirement.
- Submit your new user request via the PDMP Access Request Form.
- Complete the registration by setting up a user name and password. If your request has been approved, you will receive an email from CyncHealth to complete the account setup.
Please note: Prescribers & prescriber delegates, and dispensers & dispenser delegates can register a delegate to view patient queries and prescription notifications on the delegators behalf. Requests can be made via the PDMP user access form. If approved, you will be able to add a delegate on your behalf.

Requirements
Dispensers are required to electronically report data on prescription drugs dispensed to a patient (human or non-human) in the state or to an address in the state at least daily. Dispenser includes the following license types:
- Community Pharmacy License
- Mail Service Pharmacy Permit
- Dispensing Practitioner Pharmacy License
- Delegated Dispensing Permit
- Ophthalmic Mail-Order Provider
- Long-Term Care Automated Pharmacy

- The list will only be used for the purpose for which they were approved; and
